Biography
Dr. Wesley T. Kerr is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Bioinformatics at the University of Pittsburgh. His research applies machine learning and signal processing to neurological data, with primary focus on epilepsy — including automated seizure detection, classification of epilepsy syndromes, and development of wearable monitoring devices for ambulatory patients.
Research Interests
Dr. Kerr’s research focuses on machine learning and signal processing to analyze EEG and wearable sensor data for automated seizure detection and epilepsy diagnosis. He is developing algorithms that operate in real-time on ambulatory devices for continuous neurological monitoring outside clinical settings.
