Biography
Dr. Bruce L. Rollman is a Professor of Medicine, Psychiatry, and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh, holds the UPMC Endowed Chair in General Internal Medicine, and directs the Center for Behavioral Health, Media, and Technology. He has been PI on six NIH R01 clinical trials including the Hopeful Heart Trial and the Online Treatment for Mood and Anxiety Disorders Trial. He pioneered EHR-based clinical trial enrollment at scale and has published over 140 papers including first-authored papers in the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA, with 4 U.S. patents.
Research Interests
Dr. Rollman’s research develops and evaluates technology-enhanced collaborative care models for treating depression and anxiety in non-psychiatric settings including primary care and cardiac populations. His NIH-funded clinical trials have tested telephone-delivered, internet-delivered, and EHR-integrated interventions for population-scale behavioral health delivery.
