Assistant Faculty, David Boone, helps Bethel Park students analyze food products to identify GMOs




Students in Bethel Park High School’s 10th-grade biology classes used the polymerase chain reaction process to view DNA and determine if foods contained genetically modified organisms. Working with the students was David Boone, assistant professor of biomedical informatics at the University of Pittsburgh.
