Daughter of faculty member Vanathi Gopalakrishnan featured in Pitt News for her team's non-profit organization serving people with dementia
DBMI would like to recognize Serena Mani, Dr. Gopalakrishnan's daughter, and Maureen Deken who teamed up to found the non-profit organization "IPods for Alzheimers" which uses music to improve the quality of life for residents with dementia at Schenley Gardens Senior Living. Serena also participated in last year's UPCI Summer Academy. Congratulations to Serena and Maureen for their successful efforts to serve the community.
