Strategies and tools for eHealth and mHealth evaluation in resource poor environments
Abstract: The growing interest in ehealth and mHealth in resource poor environments has led to the development of several of systems that have been begun to achieve widespread use in multiple countries. At the same time there is skepticism among many clinicians and managers about the benefits of such systems in comparison with other health systems investments. There is clearly a pressing need for more and better evidence on system performance, clinical and programmatic impacts and costs. In this talk I will discuss initiatives to create strategies and tools to facilitate high quality evaluation studies on eHealth and mHealth and findings from recent studies.
