You are invited to a Special Seminar on April 25, 2017 at 9:00 AM given by Jonathan C. Silverstein, MD, MS, Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Tempus & also Kanter Health Foundation, Chair, Learning Health Community.

The seminar is titled “Compute, Treat, Collaborate. What’s Next, Learning Health System(s)?!” and will be held at the Department of Biomedical Informatics (address below).

Abstract:

Abstract: Informatics and predictive analytics has fundamentally changed our world, while U.S. healthcare continues its slow crisis. Computation over biomedical data and enhanced cognition for clinicians promises to enable a new future of medicine. What’s real in this new world, what’s next, are we moving toward learning health systems, and how, specifically can we get there? In this rapid fire account of Dr. Silverstein’s personal journey across collaborative research projects in imaging, informatics, population health, and genomics, he’ll answer these questions through lessons learned, and invoke his vision for applied computational research and collaboration infrastructure.
