Recognition/Highlights
Congratulations to DBMI Doctoral Student Thankam Thyvalikakath for receiving funding for her K08 application entitled “Implementation and Evaluation of a Risk Assessment Tool for Periodontal Disease”.
DBMI Doctoral Student Gerry Douglas has been named a 2009 Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) fellow. He was selected to participate in TED’s inaugural fellowship class for his work as co-founder of Baobab Health, a non-profit organization aimed at improving health care in developing countries through medical informatics.
