Research Interests

Madhavi Ganapathiraju holds an M.Engg degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Indian Institute of Science and a Ph.D. in Language and Information Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University. Her Ph.D. thesis focus was on the application of signal processing and language processing methods to the study of protein and proteome sequences, which led to the development of novel algorithms that have been applied widely to biological sequence analyses. Her current research focus is in the area of machine learning and algorithm development for computational and predictive biomedicine. She is inclined towards development of algorithms enriched with multidisciplinary approaches.
