Abstract: In this talk, I will give a brief overview of my research and applications in Biosurveillance including case/outbreak detection, public health grid, and surveillance systems. The surveillance systems we have built in the RODS laboratory include the Health System Resident Component (HSRC), the Real-time Outbreak and Disease Surveillance (RODS) and the National Retail Data Monitor. I will also share the lessons we learned from working with public health departments.
