Querying the Knowledge Base
There are currently two methods for querying the knowledge-base. One is by using a Mass-To-Charge value (m/z) and the second is by using the UniProt ID.
M/Z Value Query
Allows the user to specify the m/z and several additional parameters such as window around m/z value, what type of sample was the m/z retrieved from (plasma, urine, csf, etc), what platform (SELDI-TOF, MALDI-TOF, etc) all which affect the results. Please see the Tutorial section for more information. There are two options for querying an M/Z Value
- Single M/Z Query
(Tutorial)
- Expanded Detailed list of proteins and their respective biomarkers returned
- Batch M/Z Query
(Tutorial - Soon!)
- List of proteins ranked by closest for each m/z specified with links to the expanded data
Protein Query
Allows the user to specify which protein (via UniProt ID) they want to look up and several M/Z parameters they might wish to filter the returned m/zs
- Single UniProt ID Query
(Tutorial - Soon!)
- Expanded Detailed list of proteins and their respective biomarkers returned
- Batch UniProt ID Query
(Tutorial - Soon!)
- List of proteins
